American Truck Historical Society's National Antique Truck Show May 22-24

America’s trucking history will be showcased in the American Truck Historical Society’s 28th National Antique Truck Show, May 22-24, 2008, at the Kansas State Fair Grounds in Hutchison KS. Over 1,000 antique trucks and trailers are expected to participate in this Memorial Day weekend event.

Training Organization Announces Preventative Maintenance

The American Council of Frame and Alignment Specialists (ACOFAS) is responding to the projections by Mr. Stu MacKay at the HDAW '08 opening session in January of 2008 regarding the future of the Heavy Truck Industry and the relation of the Heavy Duty Truck Aftermarket. Mr. MacKay indicated that the Heavy Duty Trucking Industry is attempting to remove themselves from the truck maintenance and repair business and concentrate on the logistics business.  This leaves an opportunity for the aftermarket to provide service to the trucking industry.

Duncan MacLean Appointed President of MacLean Vehicle Systems

Effective Jan 28, 2008, the Board of Directors of MacLean-Fogg Company announced that Duncan MacLean has been elected President of MacLean Vehicle Systems (MVS), a worldwide market leader of fasteners, plastics and composites, powertrain and suspension and linkages.

Tramec Corporation and MacLean Announce Business Merger

Tramec Corporation of Iola, Kansas and MacLean Crewson of Buffalo, New York have signed a definitive agreement to merge their two businesses.  The new company will be known as Tramec LLC and will be headquartered in Iola, Kansas.
